Purvaj Engineers’ Advanced CNC Bending Technologies

At HIMTEX 2026, Purvaj Engineers is showcasing two advanced bending technologies designed to address a wide range of modern sheet metal applications: a Hydraulic 8+1 Axis CNC Press Brake and a newly developed CNC Panel Bender.

The Hydraulic 8+1 Axis CNC Press Brake is designed for complex, high-tolerance components. Synchronized Y1/Y2 ram control works with a servo CNC backgauge featuring X1, X2, R1, R2, Z1, and Z2 axes. A dedicated CNC crowning axis compensates for ram and bed deflection under load, ensuring consistent accuracy across the full bending length.

The machine features advanced closed-loop proportional hydraulics, high-resolution linear scales, and Cybelec or STEP Automation CNC controllers with full 3D simulation, automatic bend sequencing, and collision detection. These capabilities allow manufacturers to verify and optimize bending processes virtually before production. Quick-release clamping, heavy-duty front sheet supports, and programmable ram speed and pressure further enhance the machine’s production capabilities.

Alongside the press brake, Purvaj Engineers is introducing its newly developed CNC Panel Bender, configurable with 13 to 30 servo-controlled axes. Fully electric-servo driven, the machine performs upward and downward bends, including arc, dead-edge, and combination bends, without requiring tool changes. It can achieve speeds of up to 0.2 seconds per bend, with a system resolution of 0.01 mm.

Designed for one-shot forming, the CNC Panel Bender offers low energy consumption, minimal operator dependency, and the capability for full production-line integration. Together, the two technologies provide manufacturers with flexible and efficient solutions for precision sheet metal bending and automated production.
